Highly personalized post-purchase offers can be extremely effective — especially when you know which products pair well together. For example when someone buys a beach towel, show SPF as your post-purchase offer. This is a core part of the strategy that Sand Cloud employed in their post-purchase upsells. Using AfterSell’s triggering engine, they segmented customers based on the product or collection they’re purchasing from and recommended products that are complementary.
For example, customers purchasing from Sand Cloud’s Marine Life Towels Collection were shown the best-selling Whale Shark towel if it wasn't already in their cart as an offer. Shortly after, Sand Cloud also used AfterSell’s A/B testing to find a winning offer. In the same example, they A/B tested the Whale Shark towel with their Boho Turquoise towel and found that it generated 10% more revenue per visit!
